Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

I'm Back! Merry belated Christmas

And I have too many watch deviations to look through. T_T But that's okay, more pretty things for me to look at!! Hehe.

So, Harry Potter World (Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, Orlando, FL) wasn't as great as I was hoping. I mean, the aesthetic appeal was incredible. Everything looked great. But there were only 3 rides, and 2 of them were new. And everything was OVERPRICED!!

I really wanted a wand, but I had already spent my money ($30 for a wand, a little much since it's not even custom...). My brother got one, though. It looks really cool. Then I decided, what if I tried and made one myself?

So that's my next task I'm going to take on. I'll make the Elder Wand, because that's the one he got and I need something to look at

I'll post the WIPs whenever I decide to get started, and I made a mini Cosmic Heart Compact necklace thing. I really like how it came out, I just need to take pictures of it.

AND I GOT AWESOME CHRISTMAS PRESENTS. My mom got me a block of red Premo Sculpey (which I used to make the Cosmic Heart Compact
